Okay so along with Cindy comes Maria, her very best friend, who happens to be a hairdresser looking for a job. Why oh why me?
Maria actually does a pretty decent job as a hairdresser except she never stops talking the entire time. Seriously, for an entire hour the girl can talk about herself without stopping for a breath. LOUDLY too. Sadly a fact that I learned only after hiring her.
About three months into the job, and endless stories that we were all forced to listen to, Maria comes to work and tells everyone a new story. She has a stalker. This is a thug looking guy that she brings into the salon for a haircut. She does this in order to "get all his contact info". She also gives him her cell phone number. Hmmmmm???? If it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck......
I am not really sure about the real deal here...All I know is that I was returning home from a fab vacation...and on the very evening that my plane lands I get picked up from the airport and told, "Maria stepped out of the salon door and her stalker threw bleach in her face." BAM! Salons all over the city are talking about the "poor hairdresser that got bleach thrown in her face" Nice PR huh? There goes my peaceful state of mind.
On top of it all the police, firetrucks and ambulance are at my business door, while a bride awaits the final touches that Maira is meant to do on her hair.
Yep....all this crazy right in the middle of someone's wedding day.
Maria is running around screaming about her eye, (which was really just fine all along) and jumping into the spa shower to flush it out...the bride patiently awaits her finishing touches, the sirens are all flashing and the crowds are gathering.
In the end Maria quits...and get this is now SUING me. Yep, you read that right. She is getting her lawyer aunt, the one that she can't stand and constantly talks about behind her back to come after me.
I guess her stalker did not realize she had two faces. I didn't either, cause for all the help and hospitality that my family extended towards her all we got in return was bad PR and a frivolous law suit threat.
Lessons Learned: Bleach thrown in one face causes the other face to be shown in the light of day. A little bleach in the eye does not cuase one to see things any clearer. Birds of a feather definetly flock together. Thanks Cindy.
