Cindy is a big blogger and self appointed fashion expert. Even though she only ever wears one style of dresses (loose) and HATES tee shirts. What kind of fashion expert hates tee shirts??? They are a fashion B-A-S-I-C for fucks sake. Hello. Plus, she is all of four feet high and wears her hair three and a half feet long. Yuck!
She does however work in the industry and she does know a fair amount of people.
When she wondered into my salon and offered to help me out with my social media needs just cause she "loves helping people" I should have known it was to good to be true. After all nothing worth anything is for free!
Turns out I was right.
After knowing Cindy for a few months...and picking up more than a few tabs while out with her, I finally got a glimpse of the real-deal rather than the representative.
You see I struck a deal with her one day at a huge ware house sale. I would buy her a CC Skye bag and in return she would send six girls to my business...well actually to my brothers personal training business. He was the one paying for the CC bag. If she did not have six girls signed up and paid in full...a $99 special, so we are not talking any break-the-bank price tags here, then she would have to pay back the money for the bag. She had one month to use her savvy PR skills to complete this task.
Fast forward to ninety days later....
She has failed miserably. With all her influence she has not registered one single girl and we are still waiting for the money for the bag. While she cries poor and claims broke and is now a victim of me..behind my back, (so she thinks) she tweets about her day long LA shopping excursions...
In the end I learned a very valuable lesson. Friends don't let friends buy CC Skye bags for payment in advance. In fact don't pay in advance. There are still six slots open in my brothers class. And I learned that her true colors were not the shade of true friendship. Ouch!
